Since iPadOS 15.2 my iPad mini 5 has developed a charging issue. I was supplied with a 12W charger. It’s stopped charging the iPad but it will charge iPhone. I have 2 batteries which work with iPhone but no longer charge to iPad. I can charge the iPad using a third-party usb-c to lightning lead, connected to Apple’s 20W charger. I takes about 15 seconds to recognise the charger though. If it revert back to the 12W charger, iPad asks me to login to access the connected usb accessory. Something tells me the PD functionality is screwed.

Half of me says wait til 15.3, the other half tells me to call AppleCare.

Anyone else familiar with issues like this? Have any thoughts on the matter?

I use USBC to Lightning with Apple 29W, or Anker. Cables are easily replaced. Or different charger. As long as the lightning port functions and is clean, not loose, then I’d call AC if it’s covered.

Is there a cover on it? Can interfere with good fit.

No iPad mini refurbished listed by Apple which would be another choice.
