Curious as to which size iPhone that iPad Mini 7 (or Mini 6 for that matter) users prefer to use. A regular or Pro size phone (6.1" to 6.3") or a plus or Pro Max size phone (6.7" to 6.9")? Mainly wondering if users differentiate their iPhone/iPad choices and if the larger phones are "too close" to the Mini size when you decide to grab one vs the other. Thanks!

Always the biggest phone screen I can afford at the time. 15 PM for me now. It’s been discussed plenty of times on this board that the mini offers a lot of additional real estate. I use the phone when I need to on the go. The mini takes over at home. Hope this helps in your decision making process. Don’t forget Apple gives you two weeks of return policy as well so you can test your use case when ready.

You can’t go wrong either ways.

But having a mini decreases the blow of having a small phone for sure. I could live with a 13 mini combo with mini ipad.

iPhone SE. 🙂

I’ve used Plus/Pro Max phones before. However, I find them too big and heavy as phones but the screen is still too small for web browsing. Also, the 20:9 aspect ratio just felt weird to me for reading ebooks.

I have the cellular Mini which I carry in the purse and goes with me everywhere.

I still use my phone way more than my iPad and have it on me way more so I don't really consider what iPad I have when making my Phone purchase. And I prefer the Max sized phones.

Also I personally find the difference in screen size between the Max phones and mini iPads to be large enough that some things are still better on the iPad.

I always go for the Pro Max size iPhone (currently a 16 Pro Max) along with my iPad mini 6 and iPad mini 7.

16P, downsized from 14PM.

This all means I should have just kept my 13Pro to begin with lol

iPad Pro 11, great size, but I may still downsize to a Mini 7 now that 512gb is a storage option.

I use a Samsung S22, so 6.1” but with a slightly smaller footprint than the regular sized iPhone. The iPhone mini seemed a little too cramped for me when they did them and I’d much sooner the punch hole of the Samsung than a notched iPhone.

Mini 6 user so although I prefer iOS in general, I can be satisfied while making the most of the added flexibility Android offers.

An iPhone mini, of course!

(Though to be true I’m an iPad mini 5 user.)

I keep posting this image to illustrate how even the 6.9” Pro Max isn’t really close to the iPad mini size. The difference is significantly larger than the difference between the iPhone mini and Pro Max, and nobody considers those close.

16 Pro Max. My choice of phone doesn't have any bearing on my choice of iPads. They're different devices with different use cases.

I have an 11 Pro (so 5.8"). I hope that by the time I need a new one (probably in 2 or 3 years), Apple has reconsidered its choice to end the Mini line, and I can by another phone of roughly the same size (5.5" - 5.8").

I have a 16 Pro but my dream phone is an iPhone Mini with these upgrades from the 13 Mini: ProMotion, USB-C, Action Button, Dynamic Island, and pastel blue color from the 15.

Pro Max. I have aging eyes so I don't like smaller smartphones. I originally supplemented my smartphone with a 12.9 but then took a used Mini 6 off of a friend's hands for a great deal and I love the form factor. Great combination and I typically carry around both in a sling bag.
