Considering investing in this iPad for my wife (100 bucks off 😎). The majority of reviews are saying this has an LCD display. Why is Apple saying it’s LED? Thanks.

Technically it’s both. It is a liquid crystal display (LCD) with a light emitting diode backlight (LED).

NVM. Found it = CCFL. At least the display should last longer.

Apple should clarify this. Some people need to be fully informed.

If this was not $100 OFF, would not consider investing. Appreciate the insight.

CCFL backlights have been phased out years ago and gave way to white LED’s which are the backlight for the LCD used in the Mini.
