Yes… do it all the time with my iPad or iPhone. However your carrier my charge extra for the ability, mine does.

I use mine with my MacBook Air all the time - no extra charge on a family share plan.

You can. You just have to go to the "Personal Hotspot" setting with it. Though, I did it through Verizon for awhile and it was a little glitchy. Sometimes, it wouldn't pick the signal up, sometimes it would.

Depending on carrier you may need to sign up for the appropriate service to tether. Since you haven't provided that info, check your TOS to confirm.
