I just wanna know what i'm missing with this cdma? I have att for my iphone 5 but since ipads don't require contracts should I go with the verizon instead? thanks.

You are not missing anything with CDMA. Verizon uses CDMA in areas where it does not have LTE.

In areas where AT&T does not have LTE they use HSPA which is several times faster then CDMA.

The Verizon model works on both Verizon and ATT (or any other GSM provider). It only gets LTE on Verizon but on GSM providers it can do H+ which is faster than typical U.S. 3G speeds.

Personally I'm taking the Verizon model for flexibility.
