Hi,
This might be a really stupid question, but does the retina iPad mini come with a plastic film in the front panel?

I just got mine today and the screen seems too reflective and smudges too easily compared to my iPad 2. It seems there is a plastic there but if there is, for some reason it's impossible to peel it off.. so I'm wondering if it's just my imagination?

The older Mini, the Air and rMini all have a more plasticky feel to it. I think they changed the glass somehow.

The only plastic is the big plastic cover that wraps around the entire iPad. Very difficult to miss. There's no thin plastic sheet over the screen.

It's all over the device.

It's not easy but not impossible. :D

The whole unit is wrapped in a one piece wrapper. When you pull on the tab to unwrap it, the whole wrapper comes off in one piece.

There were bits of residue left on the bezel that I had to peel off though.
