A friend has a new ipad mini and a very old MacBook G4 with a blue apple icon in menu bar. Not sure what that means but old. I tunes on MacBook is updated to version 9. That seems as far as it will go. That iTunes does not show ipad mini in side bar. We have followed apple KB. Restarted etc. no go. Does this mean there is no hope because MacBook is so old ?

What version of iTunes are you trying to connect to? If the version of iTunes is too low it wont pick it up.

Ipad not seen by MacBook

Thanks. I see. Friend as iTunes ver 9 and OS 10.4,
