iPad ipad mini or other?

I use an iphone 4S and will likely get a 5S very soon. I sync through icloud and itunes with my Macbook Pro.

I use "Calendar" often and schedule personal, business and family related appointments. I have numerous appointments and some are weeks and months out.

I like to have a visual of my schedule and the screen size of my iphone 4S is not appealing enough. I am considering purchasing an ipad mini retina but Samsung's marketing and considerably lower tablet pricing is very persuasive.

Is Samsung's tablet truly compatible with Apple's ipad mini retina? Is there any way, perhaps through the use of third party software, I can sync my iphone, Macbook Pro and Samsung tablet?

You might want to consider Google Calendar. You can sync it with your Google account.

I second Google Calendar. There are apps on both Android and iOS that utilizes the Google syncing.
