Is anyone else experiencing this? New iPad mini, current gen. It seems like the palm rejection is too aggressive. When using safari im having to tap multiple times to expand the address bar when it collapses after you scroll downwards. Or I have to scroll up to the top of the page to make it expand.

Also noticeable on the top left ‘back to last app’ button.

I don’t think it’s a hardware issue as it is intermittent, and it happens in every orientation.

Does anyone else have this?

Thanks all.

Hi there – I've just tried it on my current-gen iPad mini and have no trouble expanding the address bar with a tap.

I suppose you could try to narrow down the issue by observing any other app that would visibly react to touches in those areas of the screen.

(Does iPadOS typically use palm rejection? It seems like it treats any part of my hand like a typical touch when I apply it.)

It was added for the original mini, if you hold it at the edges and let your palm rest on the screen it typically won’t register the input
