With the recent announcement of the new iPad Mini with Retina Display and the price reduction of the original iPad Mini, I just had a few questions.

For those who have the iPad mini, does it have any problems running the current iOS? I'm aware that the iPad mini uses the A5 and was wondering how it handled the new iOS and perhaps future iOS.

Since the new iPads came out there was a price reduction the iPad mini is now $299 and since the new iPad mini will be $399 I'm wondering if it is worth the extra $100 for the extra features the the iPad Mini 2 will bring (retina display, 64 bit a7 processor, etc.). I'm obviously worried about the longevity that the iPad Mini ($299) would have compared to the retina display model, since it is a big investment for me (broke college kid)

Finally, how are the note taking apps? I am going to college and I have found a nice app for note taking that I have downloaded to my iPhone 5 (Note Anytime) and I was wondering if there were better note taking apps (free or paid).

Also, anything else that you would recommend apps wise for productivity would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance!
