All iPads iPad mini retina 16 GB free space. How much is it supposed to be?

Can anyone with a 16GB iPad on 7.1.2 please tell me how much capacity is listed in settings? Mine has 11.7 on 8.0 and it seems a little low but I don't remember how much it was on iOS 7.1.2

11.7Gb is about right.

My iPad Air 16GB is showing around the same with ios8. I am sure I had 2 gigs more on iOS7

thats what I thought too. 13.3 compared to 11.7!

I took a pic before and after installing ios 8 on my air 16 gb...

Before: 12.8, free 9.6

After: 11.7, free 8.1

So I lost.
