Hi there,

I got an iPad mini Retina over the holidays and I think its great.

One thing I've noticed is that if squeezed slightly harder than usual on the top of the iPad screen right under the camera that it makes a weird popping or snapping noise as if the screen isn't attached all the way to what's below it. Kind of hard to describe. It doesn't do it anywhere else on the screen and only happens when the iPad is cold. It's kinda the sound plastic makes when it's partially glued to something and removed. If nobody understands what I mean I can always make a video with it.

It's fine with normal use, it only does this when I squeeze on the iPad to remove it from a dock I use.

Is this normal? I don't have an Apple Store nearby to check there.

Thanks,
Brian

ive noticed this on my iPad mini first gen

It sounds like the screen is coming unstuck. I'd return it if you can and if not make a genius bar appointment.

Same for me above camera (landscape). However I am keeping it as I have a screen that satisfies me. I have AppleCare+ if necessary later on.

I had this issue with my Gen 1 iPad Mini. It's not normal. Return it.
