iPad mini iPad mini’s home button clickiness

Hi, I had an iPad 4 and I just bought an iPad mini 2.

Nice little device overall, but, the home button has a cheap, plasticky feel to it. Is that to be expected because the device is thinner, or is something wrong with my model?

I’m also able to trigger a double press without really releasing the home button, just by releasing it slightly and pressing again. I can take a video of that too if needed.

It is a sign that not all buttons are created equal. The spring/membrain can and does vary from model to model but does not indicate your device is defective.
