iPad Mini storage inconsistency

Hello everyone.

I have recently noticed that there is some inconsistency with how much storage I have on my iPad Mini (first retina model). Directly in the iPad, it says that I have about 5.5GB available, however in iTunes it shows me that I have about 10.3GB available (which, based on everything I have on there, seems the more likely result).

Is there any reason for why it would show me this difference? And is there anything I can do about it (outside of restoring the iPad)?

Just keep using it. Only deal with this issue when you encounter real "storage is full" problem.

I often see inconsistent storage report in iTunes before and after syncing. That is because I buy apps from multiple stores, not a single store. But at last it does not affect me much.

So just leave it be.
