iPad mini this holiday season?

Looks like no announcement today from Apple. What are the chances of them announcing an iPad mini for the holidays?

I believe there is some event in October. We will know more then.

Judging from the pricing of the new iPod Touch, I would guess no. There just isn't really any price point for it between the iPad and the new iPod Touch now. I guess they could maybe do $399 for a 16 GB, but I find that unlikely. Although, I would love to be proven wrong on this.

Indeed! Or maybe even less if Google wants to really squash Apple.

Probably will get announced in October otherwise not this year. I want them to hurry up as I'm waiting to see it and will then decide between that and the nexus 7.
