The Mini 3 is stupid.

I've been wanting a mini, but I think Apple just indicated that they're done with that platform.

So, my choices are a 32GB Mini 2 @ $350, or an 64 GB Air 2 @ $599.

I'm on the fence. I don't want to spend $600, but I dunno. I

s the size difference that noticeable?

The difference between the Mini 2 and Mini 3 is TouchID. That's about it. It doesn't warrant the cost difference in my mind.

I'm confused as to why Apple did this. They always go on about the fragmentation in the Android OS, but Apple is doing a similar thing now with their hardware. The new iPad Mini 3 should of come out with the same specs as the iPad Air 2.

I can see a repeat of the iPad 3 early replacement scenario with the iPad Mini 3. Maybe 3 is Apple's bad number, and 2 is their lucky one.
