So I've had my mini retina for a month now. Before that I had the mini and I'm concerned something is off...basically loading yahoo on safari and looking at the pics there it doesn't seem to have any wow factor or even HD quality. Tried ESPN as well and pretty much the same. I ran my serial and it's definitely shows as ipad mini retina but not sure and a bit skeptical. Any other tests or websites suggested to kind of see the quality vs regular mini? Thanks

While these aren't web pages, here are two photos I took side by side. Also, on the camera icon, you can see the iPad mini has 4 pixels for the yellow circle whereas the iPad mini with Retina display has a lot more, it actually looks like a circle! The difference really is night and day. Try the Apple.com website.
