iPad mini Ipad mini Youtube problems

Anyone else having issues with youtube buffering slow on ipad? I have the mini on ios 8.0.2 and it runs poorly. When I start a video many times it takes 7-12 seconds just to start and sometimes starts with low quality. Sometimes when I skip ahead after 15 seconds of loading the video fails and i have to restart the video. My android device and computer have no problems. My internet connection is around 15mbps and i'm only 6 feet from the modem.

It's most likely the app that is doing this as it does the same here.

Yuppppp, looks like Google still hasn't fully optimized it for ios 8.
