I’m repurposing an older iPad Air 2 as a home hub with calendar, weather, home app, etc. Something the whole family can see and access. It will always be plugged in on a timer to let it drain and charge and always on.

however, I was going to mount it in landscape mode but I noticed that the calendar shows more of each day in week view in portrait and some apps, recipe manager, Roborock, myQ garage, only work in portrait. Some of those aren’t critical. Recipe manager does have an iPad version which I assume would be landscape.

would you mount the iPad in portrait or landscape orientation?

Definitely in portrait. :)
