iPad not going to sleep after 1 minute of inactivity

I've noticed something strange today. My iPad will not go to sleep after 1 minute of inactivity. I may be busy with something and when I come back to the iPad, it's still on. I updated to iOS 6 a week ago, but there haven't been any problems. Has anyone else noticed this?

have not noticed your specific problem but my ipad has been buggy so much lately that i restore it almost daily..sucks

Have you checked the settings to see if auto lock is turned on? I'm still on 5.1.1 and there is no one minute option. Lowest is two minutes. Did iOS 6 change that?

2 mins is the lowest, even on iOS 6

Mine has been fine. No resets, or anything of that ilk. Apart from the map debacle, much better IMHO.

OP, check you actually have auto lock turned on.

I am also experiencing this with iPhone 5, after one minute of inactivity, screen is still lit, drained my battery one night, however I did recently activate AssistiveTouch feature from the accessibility menu..
