ipad on, screen not working but faint white spots on pressing

colleagues ipad, says they havent dropped it but....

its definitely on because i can see a tiny faint white spot in top corner. when i press down on screen it has faint white balls.

itunes restored it to factory settings but the same.

any ideas?

Seems to me like the screen is shot. Can't figure anything else would exhibit that behavior. It can be replaced....for a cost of course.

if you perform a factory reset and nothing happend then there is a big chance that the ipad has been dropped and maybe you should replace the screen.
