Can someone please help me? I recently got my iPad about a month and a half ago and it's been fine...but recently, I've noticed that when I charge it, it only reaches about 92% then says "charged"...what can I do to fix this? I would really appreciate it.

Restart also may help.

Mine didn't take a charge last night...ended up with a dead pad today. Had to wait around for it to charge up a bit to leave...uncharacteristic for pad life! Apparently was crashed when I plugged it in.

But on another occasion, it didn't take a charge for no apparent reason. A fresh restart took care of it.

Ok. So thats when I hold down the home button and the hold button at the same time right?

Yes - and your iPad should reset. Just make sure you don't keep holding down the home button after the screen goes black - that will put the iPad in DFU mode.
In case anyone is curious, here is the rundown:
1. Hold home + power together and let go when screen goes black --> hard reset
2. Hold home + power together and let go of only power after screen goes black --> DFU mode
3. Hold home + power together and let go of power but keep holding the home once the "Slide to Power Off" screen comes up --> force quit the running application

Regarding your problem, your iPad should still be under warranty and it wouldn't harm to show it to the Apple store.

Ok...I let the battery drain then recharged then it charged fully...thanks a lot for your help guys.

If I restart/reset my iPad as u recommended, would that erase my data and purchases on my iPad? What will be the consequences?

A restart would not erase data. A reset would. It would reset it back to factory settings and you will see the "Connect to iTunes" sign and logo for which you MUST connect to iTunes then restore from a backup or set as new iPad to be able to use the device.
Since your purchases are linked to your Apple ID, re-downloading something you have bought will not charge you again.

Ok. Thanks. So I can just restart my iPad and it will just be back to normal afterwards...no restoring of data or anything...thanks! I'll try it.
