Which do you use more and prefer? For me, easily ipad. I look at a computer screen for 8 hours everyday so the last thing I want to be doing when I get home, is to be sitting at another desk and look at my own. I only use my computer when i need to use MS office, type long documents or multitask. Otherwise the ipad beats it anyday. The ipad still cant touch multi-tasking on any computer running dual monitors and 150 chrome tabs.

For reading and web surfing I reach for my iPad all the time. For more intensive computer tasks I have a powerhouse of a desktop.

I've basically divided my time between Mac and iPad based on work and play. For my work tasks I'll always use my Mac while everything else you can imagine doing for fun is generally owned by my iPad (such as browsing, chatting, reading, etc). I work from home so this helps me create that psychological barrier needed to concentrate. I don't generally play on my Mac, when I'm on it I feel like it's time to get some work done. Right now is an exception though because I have my iPad out for service.

Computer. I still find typing anything on an iPad a bit of a chore. However when traveling I much prefer the convenience of the iPad.

I use a MBA and an iPad Air.

What i'm doing dictates which I reach for.

For general everyday use the iPad Air is awesome.

I'll probably be using my MBA less and less.

I mostly use iPad for reading and web surfing.
But I'm aware of tablets' limitations , so when I need to do something more demanding I switch to my MBP

Reading is nice on an iPad. I prefer browsing on my Surface or home PC, though, as I always felt that Safari is rather clumsy to use, with how it always reloads my open tabs.

80/20

80% iPad
20% iMac

For reading and surfing and email ...
Now with my new iPad Mini it's even better ... I love that format. Specially for reading and surfing, not so much email (for that the iPad 3 still better)

For reading?

Kindle paperwhite 2. Much less eye fatigue and I can read much longer on it.

Ipads mainly for couch surfing or on the go.
