Hi guys, need some advice.

I've had an iPhone since 2008, and it is my first Apple product. Since then, I've owned the same first generation iPhone and am thinking of purchasing something.

I'm a 17 year old student, studying for A Levels - currently in first year of A Levels. For the purpose of my background, I am studying mathematics and the three sciences.

Should I purchase a new iPhone this summer, or should I go with the iPad? - or neither?

Basically I need a device that can do basic word editing and powerpoint functions, but I also need a phone that has a GPS in it. I have TomTom, Navigon and CoPilot currently available to me as a gift from some idiot who purchased all three :/

Well you can buy an iPad and then the TomTom car kit should give you the GPS you need.

Though personally, I'd get a cheap netbook for the word processing and then get the iPhone upgrade.
