Hello!

I own a mid 2010 iMac as main computer. I am very happy with it and it's fast enough and perfectly suit my needs: photo editing.

Now, I am starting to think about an iPad. Or maybe a MacBook Air.

I want a "computer" to carry it, to browse the web, listen music and watch some films or movies...

I don't need a fast machine and as I am subscribed to iTunes Match, I don't need a lare drive.

The fact is the price of the iPad is 50% of a MacBook Air...

What do you think?

to browse the web, listen music and watch some films or movies...

For those needs I would incline towards a iPad and save money ;)

iPad3 will be out next month so you can wait and check out the latest and greatest, or wait and pick up a discounted iPad2. I don't own an iPad but might consider an iPad2 if I can find a great deal. Other than that I am happy with my MBP and iPhone combo

Wow, I'm in the same situation as yourself OP.

I've decided on the iPad, purely because i'd enjoy reading the web and magazines on it. For consuming media there isn't any thing better.

I think i'll wait in the Air and get that a later date. the iPad has preference for me.

Yes, I think that an iMac + iPad combo will be just amazing.

If iPad 3 doesn't have retina display, I will maybe just keep an iPad 2 and save money.

Can't wait to see Apple is preparing...
