iPad Photos - edit only saves to Camera Roll?

Hi All,

I have just upgraded to the latest iPad software (5), and was quite excited about the ability to edit photos using the Photos app. That was, until I realised that the edited photo does not get saved in the app (ie: just updating the existing image), but rather creates a new edited image that is saved in the Camera Roll.

Is there any reason for this or anything that I am doing wrong?
