The GBP:USD pummelling will not do much to help the Ipad price in the UK!

unless Apple entered into GBP-USD hedges earlier in the year.


check out the graph since the announcement of the ipad


i was thinking £349 but i suspect closer to £399 now

It's already £391 if you take the current exchange rate and add 17.5% VAT. Add import duty/tax to that and I think we'll see above £400 for the 16GB wi-fi model.
 
So you guys have a good way to earn money: Bring 10 iPads from US to UK whenever you travel (tours, conferences etc). You can easyly sell iPad @ 600 USD to earn 100 USD per item :D

wouldn't fancy going thru UK customs with 10 ipads...
