I just ordered a new iPad Pro, my first iPad since 2013’s original Air, so I’m really excited for this upgrade. I loved the DeviceWear Ridge and used that on my Air for years. Unfortunately, it looks like they stopped making cases. Are there any cases similar to this? It had a hard plastic back with a leatherish front folio style.

Any other recommendations would be great! I’ve heard a lot about the Zugu but it seems too bulky for my uses.

Thanks!

I made a similar leap last year, from an Air 1 to a Pro. You'll be pleased with the upgrade.

Cases with the "tri-fold" style cover are more popular now, and most have some sort of accommodation for a Pencil, which makes them larger than they need to be is you don't use one.

There are still cases with the covers that fold like the Ridge, Speck's among them. Amazon has other options to consider.

My only experience is with the Balance Folio, and it's a well executed case, with attention to details like sleep/wake, a magnetic cover for the camera bump, and magnetic latches that keep the back from detaching from the cover when not being used in display position, instead of flopping around. It also lacks any kind of extraneous slots, large flaps, or weird bumps for Pencil storage.

In my perfect world, it would lose the space for the Pencil, making it narrower, and be lighter than it is. But, it still occupies a nice middle ground in the spectrum, both in terms of design, and price.
