I was showing a friend the absolute beauty that is the Apple Keyboard / Trackpad folio for my M4 iPad Pro. She has a 3rd Gen iPad Pro and in my head I thought that model did have a similar accessory - with a trackpad. Turns out the genuine accessory was just a keyboard back then with a fabric looking concealed keyboard..
Are any of the Apple expensive-but-nice keyboard and trackpad folios since 2020 compatible? I don’t want to depend on Apple saying no because they’ve consistently said things don’t work that do for years (remembering the upgradable MacBook days…)
Did they move the magnets or something that means it outright won’t work? I was hoping she could find a used one for a fraction of the price and enjoy the same experience, especially with iPad OS 26 around the corner.
