iPad Pro 4k movie download

I've downloaded 4k movies from my iTunes purchases onto my iPad Pro. This is good news as my understanding Apple 4k was only if you stream movies?

As far as I know the downloaded Videos on iPad Pro are in 1080p but with HDR support.

Thats what I thought with my only trial movie rental.

Though word on the street is 4K viewing is possible whilst streaming a movie i.e. press play to view direct from store.

I honestly couldn’t confirm 4K via ipp pro though there was a slight difference when playing direct from store.

Think I’ll try another movie later this week.
