Hello - I have an iPad Pro 9.7, which has been mostly great. One quirk I've noticed is that on occasion it takes a while for the screen to brighten when iPad is woken up. The screen will be very dim, and then after about 5-7 seconds, it will brighten to its normal brightness level. It doesn't happen all the time, but often enough that it's noticeable. I have animations off, with auto brightness on. Didn't have this issue at all with my iPad Air or iPad Mini2.

Is this normal? Anyone else have this experience (and, better yet, how to solve it)?

Overall, the Pro 9.7 with the Smart Keyboard has been fantastic. The only downside (beyond the 2GB memory issue) is the old Touch ID sensor. I could never get it to work consistently on my iPhone 6, and I can't get it to work on the iPad Pro, which is really disappointing. The new sensor on my iPhone 6s works like a charm. As more and more apps use Touch ID in lieu of passwords, getting the updated sensor would be perhaps the main reason I would upgrade my Pro if it's added to the next generation.

Many thanks in advance.

Yes, I have this issue.

I've put it up right next to a lamp and it doesn't respond.

Only "fix" I've found is swiping up to control center -- either that triggers it or I'll manually adjust the brightness from there.

Thanks. Now that I've posted, I see that there's another thread on this topic. Sounds like an iOS bug. Maybe it'll be fixed with iOS 93.2 (which I haven't had the guts yet to install...).

I've updated and pretty sure I still saw it happen this morning.
