Hi all,

I attempted to try and setup my ipad today and I can't login to icloud. It says either "can't connect to server" or "your account is temporally unavailable for system maintance please try again later."

I can and am logged in on my iphone and my desktop and my ipad even shows up in the device lists on icloud.com

I've tired restarting, resetting my ipad, I've tried cellular and wifi and nothing is working. I can surf the web on the ipad and have a strong connection.

Just curious if anyone has any ideas or has ever run into this what did you do? I feel like I'm going in circles here...

How are you able to use browse the web on your iPad if you're not logged into it?

Apple's System Status page isn't showing any iCloud account outages, so I think your only option is to literally "try again later." Sometimes it's just too busy to handle all of the requests.

Delivered today! All I can say it…unbelievable. iPads sure have changed since 2011’s iPad 2. I’m going to be busy playing catch-up.

I still have an internet connection Safari will still load websites even if I'm not logged in.

I’d reach out to apple to see what they say. It’s their service so they should know best.
Yeah I'm going to head to the apple store tomarrow and see if I can get this sorted out. I would try the pc based restore / reset but I don't have a usb c to A cord. I figure apple should hopefully be able to reset or figure it out...

Contact Apple and ask for their verdict. Come to us if they are of no help.
Yeah I'm gonna try chat support and then if that doesn't work go into the apple store. I've never had this many issues with my apple products.... it feels like I got a lemon...

So update, I've chatted with apple. And they have been made aware they say it should be fixed within three days and if not I need to contact them again.... so we will see I guess. At least I have a support ticket number.
