Trying to troubleshoot a strange issue here.
I just bought a Thunderbolt 5 cable. When I tried using it to connect my M1 iPad Pro and M1 Pro MacBook Pro, it doesn't work? iPad lights up and charges but it doesn't appear in the sidebar. It doesn't show up in System Information > USB or Thunderbolt/USB4 sections either. Is it the cable or is it the iPad not compatible with TB5 cables?
Apple's Thunderbolt 3 cable works, connects via USB 3.0
The TB5 cable works with a USB 3.0 flash drive.
Using the TB5 cable to connect the Mac to another TB Windows PC works.
