So far, so good. Before the move to 18.6, I did a backup, updated all apps, deleted unwanted photos, offloaded other photos, disabled sync and backup, and disabled WiFi and BT. The move to 18.6 took about an hour and went smoothly.

I did need to go in and disable Siri. AI was found disabled, which is how it was before 18.6. I like how the apps are now displayed in Settings, and I like how Sync/Backup is displayed. I turned off cellular and left the iPad on overnight so it could 'cook' in. :).

So far today, I have had zero issues; I have not noticed any lag or weirdness, but I have not tested every possible thing.
 
No, this is he iPadOS 18 board, so that is where I made the post. I wanted to advise others that the update went well, and things seem to be working fine so far.
