Hi,

Received the iPad Pro Magic Keyboard today and overall I like it. I have the iPad Pro 11 and with the Magic Keyboard it now weights 2.2 pounds. One thing I’ve noticed though is when you click the keyboard trackpad it’s very loud. At least double if not more the sound when I click my Macbook Air 2018 trackpad.

I had a surface pro for a while and one of the tricks I learned was to do a double tap or click softly and it avoided that loud clicking sound. Anyone know of a trick to do that with the magic keyboard? Also anyone else noticing this? I’m finding that I’m still using the touch interface over the trackpad for the most part so not a dealbreaker.

Thanks!

Actually I was able to find a setting under trackpad in settings that said “Tap to Click” and problem solved lol. Might delete this post as a result.

The Magic Keyboard has a trackpad which physically clicks compared to the 2018 MacBook Air which has a trackpad that haptically clicks. Physical clicks are much louder than haptic clicks.
