Like the title says, my iPad pro screen has a soft spot just a but under half way of the screen, about two thirds down from the top dead in the center. When on an all white background, web page or whatever like this forum if you apply just a tad bit pressure with one finger you will notice a bubble or distortion effect on the screen.

I discovered this by accident while I was cleaning my screen with cleaning cloth. I wasn't aware that I had been applying pressure to the screen until I saw the slight distortion. Now I'm paranoid thinking my iPad is defective when it probably isn't. But it only happens in that one area.

Can anyone else confirm if their screen has a soft spot about 2/3 down from top dead center of screen? Just apply light pressure with one finger.

Bump. No one else can confirm this? I really don't want to take a trip to the Apple Store if one of you guys can try to replicate the issue.

It's very subtle but I have it too.

Edit: a good general spot for where to look for is if you pull up the keyboard in portrait mode and press on the screen about a half inch above the middle word suggestion.

Doesn't seem like the end of the world, tbh. I can only replicate it if I'm actively trying to.

Yea I only noticed it by accident when cleaning the screen and I pressed to hard, but I just wanted to make sure my iPad wasn't defective or anything. Thanks for confirming.

Yes!! I can confirm that same issue only mine had it in the middle and on the left side. Barely any pressure would distort those areas, even if I wasn't touching anywhere near the screen. I noticed on day one and went back to Apple on Thursday and they saw it and ordered me a replacement one and it surprisingly came in on Saturday already and went in and got it swapped. Just note though it was busy when I went in and the person helping me forgot to tell me I needed my SIM card taken out so I'll be running over again to get it back hopefully

Nope.... can't find it... I measured exactly 8 inches from the top of the screen (the screen is almost exactly 12 inches tall).
I then pressed in concentric circles radiating out from the center point, with a page full of small type. That would show any distortion immediately.

Can you confirm the distance from the top (or bottom) by measuring with a ruler?

All I notice is normal slight distortion if pressed very firmly, (but it happened everywhere I pressed on screen) not that spot or any one spot. It's nothing different from other iPads. I guess Since this one has a bigger screen... distortion might occur more.

X2. I can't find it on mine either and I am really looking.
Now let's take a step back and ask ourself why are we even looking for this if it can't be seen under normal use?

I had a soft s-or in the upper left quadrant of my iPad Pro and it also had some serious freezing/unresponsive issues. I was traveling at the time but the local Apple Store immediately replaced it with a new unit that I'm typing on now.

I get the distortion if I press hard enough anywhere on the screen but touching the screen like I normally would I get no distortion.

I checked my kids iPad Air 2's and they have soft spot in the middle of the screen with medium force touch.
