Hello, looking for a skin for the back of my M4 iPad Pro that is compatible with the Magic Keyboard. I love the brand leather skin however it is stated to be too think to work with Magic KeyBoard. I currently have the swarm skin on my iPad, its certainly grippy but kinda plastic feeling and doesn’t have the warmth of leather. This was of course to be expected. Any other options from other manufactures? Feel like might have to sacrifice leather quality for it to be thin enough to work with the keyboard case.

I am also interested in trying the concrete brand skin as well as the matte black one. Hear they all have unique textures to them.

You will likely just have to sacrifice the leather feel for a skin thin enough. I have the forged carbon skin from sopiguard and have not had any issues with the magnets attaching to the Magic Keyboard. Likely the same story for the non-leather dbrand skins, but I haven't really tried for myself.

I really like the texture of the forged carbon skin. It gives a bit of a grip which is nice, and feels a bit rough, in a good way. I also used to have the same skin for an older MacBook, and even put it on the trackpad and had no issues with the texture vs the glass texture.

I highly recommend Qskinz. Used to be EasySkinz. They are made in UK. You can get the back and sides for your iPad. They are so precise with their cutouts. I’ve tried a few skins but these are way better than any others I’ve tried.

This one is a white leather textured skin that I put on over a year ago. Has held up very well. It looks like it’s off by the camera but it’s not - just a shadow.

I have to second SopiGuard out of CA. I have the skin although in the brushed metal series and it does have a nice grip to it. Also, like @Nhwhazup indicated with Qskinz, SophiGuard also includes the sides for the iPad. I tend to switch between SopiGuard and dbrand, dbrand for their leather series which I tend to use for my MacBooks.

Do you know if their leather one works with Magic Keyboard?

Do you use the Magic Keyboard with SopiGuard? If so, any impact on magnet connection strength?

Dbrand and XtremeSkins are both great. Got a matte black one from XS and it’s been doing great.

Am a big fan of Xtreme Skins here in the UK and have had them on all my Apple and Android Devces, my iPad has a nice orange skin, which matches the Sheffield Wednesday away kit.

With the additional Nasa Stickers

Are they better than dbrand?

If you’re looking for a good iPad Pro skin, it’s worth considering brands that focus on precision and quality. I recently came across Gadgetshieldz, which offers skins that are custom-cut for various iPad Pro models. Their textures provide a good grip and protect against scratches without adding bulk, which is great if you don’t like using cases.

What I appreciate about using a skin is that it maintains the sleek form factor of the iPad Pro while giving it a personalized look. Installation can be a bit tricky, but most brands, including Gadgetshieldz, offer tutorials to guide you. Just make sure to clean the surface properly before applying the skin for the best results.
