iPad Pro starts plays music when I close cover

Hi,

My iPad pro sometimes plays music from the Apple Music app when I close the cover and set down the iPad Pro. It does not start right away, but seems to start at random times. The funny thing is I do not use Apple's Music app. I use Spotify. And Spotify never randomly starts up.

And ideas?

This sounds paranormal Maybe u should try deleting Spotify and then reinstalling it. And restart iPad Pro. Could be Spotify file/data somehow got corrupted. There’s a new update for Spotify app, as of today.

I will try it, but it is Apple Music playing, Not Spotify.

Do you use Bluetooth Headphones by any chance? When you close the iPad then turn off the headphones it transfers the control back to the internal speakers and can restart the playback. I know because it happens to me often.

it happens to me also, on 11.0.3
but it happens when I’m on iheartradio or Amazon music
using the smart keyboard with an aftermarket back...
