iPad pro widgets

In portrait mode the calander takes up a lot of space and the widgets and notifications are squashed into a narrow column on the right hand side.Why can't you have a wider column or turn off the calander view?

Cause nothing is optimized for the Pro yet. Hopefully they can make the Pro distinguished from the rest of the Ipad line up, much like the way the Ipad line up did to the Iphone once it started maturing.
