Hi guys! I have some thoughts about the last keynote that I want to share with you...
First, new iPhones: very interesting "s" upgrade, with a powerful a9 processor and 7000 series stronger enclosure. They announced a stronger glass cover too, but maybe it's only marketing to avoid thinking about sapphire absence... About 3d-touch, we'll see how intuitive it is because in some apps, you're going to force-touch the screen but no aditional content will be showed.
Second, apple watch: a great movement, to start selling rose gold and gold alluminum sport versions. A lot of people (especially women) want to combine their iphones with their watches, but without spending more than 10000$ in the Edition collection.
Third, apple tv: finally Apple bring us an apple tv with apps!...after waiting for years lol. But now it's here. Developers have a lot of experience developing apps for iOs, and we'll have very good tv apps sooner than we can expect. A must buy for apple lovers that use Tv.
And fourth, ipads...the real reason wich has motivated me to create this thread. iPad pro is not for me. It's the same ipad experience in 12'9", adding the pencil option and keyboard case...This combination with 32gb configuration costs more than 1050$. And it's only a bigger ipad...new macbook and new ipad pro are the natural steps behind to release a combination of both (yes, like microsoft surface, but with apple user experience). The problem with ipad "pro" is it runs iOs and, pro people it's going to need mac os frequently. For that reason, I'd buy a macbook now insted the ipad pro, or a 13" macbool pro retina if I needed more power.
At last, I want to talk about iPAD MINI 4, the best product that apple released in this keynote.
Full lamination display, better colour gamut, antireflective costing, less than 300gr, 6'1 mm, touch id, improved cameras and a new processor(A powerful A8 tweaked with 2 gb ram)...
BUT, it's an evidence that Apple prefers selling ipad pro>ipad air 2>ipad mini 4. Ipad mini4 is a shrunken version of the ipad Air 2 (the only difference is the increased graphic performace of the a8x). As you now, the same technology in less space cost more money, and for that I think the profit margin of the ipad mini 4 is smaller than air 2 and pro profit margin. Think about that. Phil only took 20-30 seconds to announce a new product (ipad mini 4). It's very weird. I think ipad mini 4 could affect/cannibalize the sales of iphone 6/6s plus and bigger ipads but they don't want it because iphone 6/6s plus and ipad pro have a much higher price tag so, a higher profit margin....
Any thoughts?
