iPad question

Hello all,

Just purchased a white ipad 2 this morning and just noticed that ( it looks to me ) the silver trim around the ipad when holding it upright it's thinner on the left side?
I am guessing since the volume control is ont he right side or something?

I will check the store tomorrow to see if it is a defect on mine.

Why are people so anal about such minor things? It is like some people inspect every millimeter of their new iPad just looking for any type of flaw so they can return it and get a new one, I just don't get it. Why don't people just use their iPad and be happy? Mine could have any number of these flaws that are discussed to death on here but I'd never know it as I actually use my iPad and don't go over it with a fine tooth comb looking for a defect.
