Hi guys. So I am a college student next year in Industrial Design. I really am stretching a tight budget after I got a 27" iMac, so now I am either going to wait for the MacBook Air update or get an iPad and remote desktop from my iMac to the iPad to take notes, so I would have to buy a keyboard case for it.

Is this a reliable route to go? I really need as much better life and portability as possible. Also, is there a keyboard case you guys would recommend?

Also, when I am using Remote Desktop, is my iMac's screen on so everyone can see what I am doing?

There are apps optimized for taking notes on iPad.

Remote login to a computer via iPad for taking notes is not a good idea.

Keyboard case would be good if you do alot of touch typing.

If it's for taking notes, don't bother remote desktop-ing it. There are note taking apps that are much better suited to that purpose.
