ipad redirects to unwanted sites

my ipad 4 has been redirecting to unwanted sites from my facebook app, and directly from safari.
the research i've done so far seems to indicate it is not likely to be a virus or malware. i've tried deleting and reinstalling facebook app, but it hasnt worked. also restored my ipad but that has not worked either.

help!

Redirects are happening for a variety of reasons. I've had several redirects from different websites to the app store. Wrt malware, I wouldn't worry about it because the iPad and iPhones are running in a wall garden. Btw, lately i've had redirects on Android devices as well.

If you want to stop the redirects:

a) notify the webmaster

b) turn off Javascript
