Where can you see the difference in the retina display ? Upon first look ipad2 and iPad 3 screen looks almost the same to me. I checked out apps like houzz, iPhoto in the apple store.

I can see it everywhere, it's most noticeable on text though. Not to mention the retina display's in the 3rd/4th gen have 44% more color saturation.
 
Yup...It's very noticeable for me too.....I was in the store the other day and switched ipads because one had some different games on it...I started up fruit ninja and was like "what"? I thought it must be an app that hasn't been updated but then I looked and noticed I was holding an ipad 2....It wasn't like going back and playing galaga on an old atari or anything but it was noticeable to me.
 
Load up a text intensive web page like the NYTimes. Make sure the devices are in portrait orientation. The difference should be glaringly obvious.
