Ipad screen not working

i have a ipad that it seems to turn on cause i can hear sounds and take screen shots but the screen is blank its weird and i would like it too work any ideas?

Which model is it?

While we are waiting for that info, you can always try a hard reset. Hold down the power and home buttons at the same time until the Apple logo appears. Sometimes you have to hold it down for 30 seconds or so, so be patient. Pay close attention to see if the Apple logo is there but very dim.
