Is there a way to take selective screenshot and not the whole screen?

Screen shot and crop and edit would be the only way AFAIK

To avoid wasting time in cropping and editing just to capture a certain portion, you can try third party apps instead. There are different apps now available on the market like Monosnap and Awesome Screenshot for Safari. If you need more info here's a post that talks about the various ways to screenshot iPad.
