Ipad serial connectivity via bluetooth?

I just posted an inquiry regarding serial connectivity ( ie terminal emulation) from an ipad to external devices via USB.

Another thought came to me.... Is there a a terminal emulator for ipad that could work with some sort of serial-2- bluetooth adapter that is connected to the external hardware one is trying to communicate with?

I have no experience with the adapters, but know some exist. So maybe .......?......????

Any feedback would be appreciated.
