I recently shipped sold and shipped my iPad to Canada. Looking back I dont believe I powered it off. This has me stressed! After doing a small search on this forum, its possible it could damage the backlight? Not sure how. Looking at the tracking, it has passed customs and should be delivered to the recipient this week. Any other issues that could happen or will it most likely reach its destination safely? I did pack it properly and safely, as well as in its original box. Thanks.

It should be just fine, The battery might run out before it gets there but you shouldn't worry about a thing.

Thanks, that's what I figure now I just need to gently tell the person so they don't think they got sold a dead iPad!

Well, it puts itself in sleep mode after a few minutes and it doesn't consume all that much power in sleep mode. If the shipment is a week or so, it should definitely have power left, depending if it was fully charged. It certainly won't ruin anything on the iPad.
