Apologies for a duplicate post, I am posting here because I have had no replies in my post in the other section after quite a few views, so I thought maybe I might get a helpful reply here.

I was not sure whether this would be enabled by hardware or software/app, so I will ask here.

I am interested in the ipad for sketching, but it would be good if I found an app that would allow me to view sketches in tile form or side by side for comparison & allow me to trace over one for the main outline & create different versions.

when I do paper sketching to work out an idea, I would often do small sketches on 5 x 7 sheets of paper, & lay multiple sketches next to each other for comparison for the best idea to use. I would also trace one sketch & so on to get the outline for subsequent sketches & add or take away elements to see what would work.

can the ipad or any of it's apps do this?

any input from any fellow artists here would be helpful as the ipad is quite pricy.
