I currently have an iPad 4 (iPad with retina display) and am having a new issue of my iPad initiating soft resets similar to the issue that some people were having with their iPhones.

Basically I will be using my iPad and it will go go into an all white screen with a black apple logo and then restart. Is anyone else having a similar issue? I believe when the iPhones were doing this it required a software update from apple, but I haven't heard of anyone having this issue with an iPad.

I had this reset problem a few times of times on my 3.
I thought I was going to sell my 3 and get an Air, but changed my mind, but only after I wiped it and set it up as new. Anyway, I then restored from my tunes back up, and haven't seen it since. It's been 2 months since I did that.
Maybe try backing it up, wiping it and put it all back on.. It may not be entirely logical, but it worked for me.

I'll give this a go. Thanks for the tip.
